Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds make a difference in our community each day by sharing their time, experience, and talents. Whether you are looking for a volunteer opportunity to meet new people, help others, gain new experiences, the Sholom volunteer team has something for you.
We offer an array of volunteer opportunities any day of the week, at various times, and at either campus. Come volunteer once a month, once a week, or as often as you are able. We welcome you to our passionate community of volunteers.
Come Volunteer with Sholom
Events and Activities
Join us alongside our residents in a variety of fun-filled weekly activities and events. Help transport to happy hour, assist with bingo, serve at luncheons, support spiritual and religious life programs, and much more.
Companion Volunteers
Visit with our residents, read to them, play cards or games, listen to music, or chat. This helps to provide both social and emotional support for our residents.
Your Interest or Talent
Can you play an instrument? Do you have a friendly pet? Do you love crafts, books, baking, etc.? Come join our team and share your talents or interests with our residents.
OMA: Opening Minds through Art
This is an art program for our residents with memory loss. As a volunteer, you will build a relationship with an individual resident by assisting them in an art project. (Additional one-hour training is required.)
Music & Memory
A fun a program designed to help residents with memory loss or dementia. Listen to their favorite music and watch them come ALIVE through the power of music. (Additional one-hour training is required.)
Special Outings
Help with bringing our residents to events out in the community.
